Yep, I’m Grim. Well, technically Paul Grimshaw if we’re being accurate. I’m a Creative Designer and I play with pencils'n'pixels to make my way in the big, wide world. I say play because I love what I do, so it never feels like work.
"How did you get to where you are now Paul?" I hear you ask. Well gather round and I shall tell thee a tale...
I was born, raised and schooled in a peaceful little town on the outskirts of the Lake District. While at school I spent more time doodling than anything, so I had an inkling even then that I’d end up doing something creative for a living.
Sixth Form College, September 2000 - my love affair with Apple Macs began, within minutes I was hooked. And that love is as strong as ever today. I studied Art & Design at AS, A and BTEC Higher National Diploma levels, excelling in each, before heading to University to study Creative Advertising.
Within two weeks of leaving University I was working in a full-service marketing agency, eventually becoming lead designer, before heading for the bright lights of the big city. Since moving to Manchester I've worked for a couple of cool design agencies on both a permanent and freelance basis.
In the past few years I’ve had the privilege of working on both national and international projects, including work involving a few celebrities and even royalty. I take pride in my work and offer a professional design service, across a number of disciplines and I like to think I provide design that’s not only exciting and engaging, but also thoughtful and considered.
